It was a nice quiet location with easy access to the rest of the town of Key West.
If we had been able to stay longer, I thought the kitchen could have been better equipped.
Nana and the other staff were very friendly and helpful. The grounds were beautiful. Nice bar, boat slips, and pool/hot tub. Condo was large, comfortable, and reasonably clean. Location was perfect for a fishing adventure. Hurricane Hole Marina with some of the best Guides in kw is just across the creek. The Captains can pick you up at Coconut Mallory dock... How cool is that! Awesome place to stay too if you were to bring your boat. Didn't get as much time to enjoy the resort as I would have liked because I was too busy fishing! I will stay here again.
We enjoyed the location and peaceful surroundings of the facility. The staff we incredibly helpful and kind. We will stay at this facility again.
Our 4 night stay was great.our room(224) had a weak wifi signal but it worked on the bar between the kitchen and dining area. We had a 2 bedroom 2 bath that was clean and comfy. The appliances were up to date and the central air worked great too.I Read the mixed reviews but I am glad I picked this place. No bugs in our place and the beds were comfy too.we could drive to many places and a short taxi to downtown. We are looking foward too stay there again.
The hotel is located far away from the beach and center of key west. We rented bycycles and then it was 10min to beach and 25min to duval street. It was clean, nice and an excellent staff that was friendly and helpful. The resort has pools that were clean and refreshingly cold. I would recommend this to anyone that are planning to stay only for a few days.
My wife and I visited Key West the same time that many colleges had their Spring Break so many area hotels/resorts were overrun, but Coconut Mallory was "out of the way" enough (in a good way) that it offered a quiet, relaxed atmosphere that most Key West resorts could not have had that specific week. Overall the rooms and grounds were very nicely maintained, very picturesque. Perfect for a young couple looking for a relaxing get away.
1. We only stayed for two nights, but our room was not made up that one day. We had enough towels and were not inconvenienced, but still should be noted (Unit #405 on 03/07) 2. There were a few small ants in a cup that had been left out. Again, not a big deal to us, but I can imagine others being very bothered by this.
The uniqueness of the apartment was a treat. The resort and marina were beautiful--very relaxing and yet fun!
The sofa bed was terrible. The bedroom looked like someone had slept there and rushed out without properly changing and making the bed.
I liked the size and pool. Trees off the deck could have been trimmed so we could see more of the water. Boathouse could have had more to it being the hotel is so far away from duval st. Overall was very nice. We thank you.
Too far from duval st and needed more of a view from the deck. Our safe did not work. Nothing to complain about. Was very nice.
Overall is a great place for family but the problem that we have was with the bed they listed as 6 person but only slept 4. The should listed as 4 becouse the sofa bed is very uncomfortable deserve and update but other than that was good overall.
The two bedroom apartment is listed for 6 person but only 4 people sleep comfortable onless they buy new sofa bed.
Location outside downtown Key West
Wish unit was a bit larger and better appointed for the $
We came with another couple to stay for the week, and had ample space for both parties. The location was great and the rooms were beautifully maintained. We felt like we were not bothered by anyone and had privacy.
The Mallory is a a beautiful quiet location with a nice marina , two pools and beautiful grounds.
My only complaint is that the fold out couch in the one bedroom units that is advertised for 4 people is not "sleepable" for man nor beast. We had to rent a single bed and the shortest person drew the couch unfolded.
The size of the room/suite and the full kitchen.
The checking in time : from 4 to 5 PM
I loved the landscaping -- you felt buried deep in the jungle. Beautiful trees and brick pathways, a nice open air bar, little geckos scurrying about. The giant trees were highlighted at night with ground level green lights shooting upward, intensifying a jungle feeling. I also liked how the decor in the room was very"contemporary tropical" -- yes, there was the requisite tacky sea-faring printed bedspread but it was a luxury mattress. The kitchenette was very contemporary; flat screen TV, nice glass enclosure in the shower. It didn't feel like your grandma's cottage. However, it wasn't entirely kept in mint repair -- some holes in the bathroom wall, nicks in the white floor tiles. Still in all, much preferable to the usual frumpy hotel decor. Nice updated wicker and glass table on the patio and wide chairs. Plenty of pots and pans, iron, nice plates -- everything to ensure a nice stay.
The staff seems very unhappy -- not warm and friendly, but very flat and affectless. You must also agree to their strict rules, for example, you must gather your linens (and strip the bed) and leave them by the door upon departure. I didn't find this odious, however. Office is not open 24 hours.
It was easy to find.
Did not like that we had to strip the beds, leaving the linens by the door downstairs, empty all trash containers, fill the dishwasher with any used dishes, and have it started before we checked out at 10 am. If we did not do this, then there was a hefty fine. We only stayed two nights, not one week. I have stayed at many time share properties, but never have I had to strip the linens off the beds and bundle them by the door. There should have been a discount for Housekeeping services provided by us. This hotel is part of the Double Diamond and Interval Vacation System and it does not meet their standards.
